How to Get HIGH-Quality Leads with Assessments & AI
At my last assessment-style workshop, 30% of attendees went on to join my high-ticket programme.
The real power of the assessment wasn’t just in me asking the questions…..it was in them asking the questions of themselves.
It gave them clarity, helped them see their next steps, and showed whether working with me could bridge the gap between where they were and where they wanted to be.
In my recent conversation with Domingo Silvas, we explored why this works so well for lead generation. Domingo is a serial entrepreneur, AI marketing pioneer, and founder of Think Smart Scale, Magpie, and Scale Up. Over the past 25 years, he has built 14 companies to seven figures, one of them starting as nothing more than an idea scribbled on a napkin in a Los Angeles bar.
Many business owners think lead generation is about chasing numbers. Domingo and I see it differently. It’s about helping the right people recognise—through their own reflection—that you’re the natural fit for what they need.
Domingo put it simply:
“It’s about the quality of the lead. Attract the right person, engage them, and enrol them in the process.”
💡 Our favourite tool for doing this is the assessment.
An assessment helps a potential client see their own gaps. It shows them you can help. Here is how to use them well:
- Start with Your Solution Be clear on what you offer before you write a single question.
- Break It Down Link your questions to the key parts of your programme or service. Let people see their strengths and weaknesses.
- Make It Personal Ask about both business and personal challenges if they relate to what you solve.
- Use It Before a Call Domingo never books a call without an assessment. “Out of 10 people that book an appointment, we close 8 or 9,” he says.
- Leverage the Data Magpie’s AI can analyse assessment results so you know exactly what to offer.
This mirrors what I tell my clients about lead magnets.
“It’s not about the numbers. It’s about attracting the right people and leading them straight to your core offer.”
