AI Copywriting Tips & Tools: Persuasive Content in Minutes

In this week’s episode of The Social Media Takeaway (available on all the leading podcast platforms including iTunes, Spotify, and YouTube), I chatted with Kimberly Weitkamp, a marketing strategist, podcaster, coach, and host of the More Conversations, Clients, and Cash podcast.

Kimberly helps coaches and service providers write content that connects and converts. She combines proven copywriting techniques with AI to help business owners drive more sales and leads.

We talked about the core skills every business owner needs to write better copy, how to use AI without sounding robotic, and which tools are actually worth using.

Copy Still Comes First

Before you open ChatGPT, you need to know what makes copy work. And that hasn’t changed.

Good copy:

  • Speaks directly to the person you want to work with
  • Solves a specific problem
  • Sounds like you

You can’t outsource that part. You still need to be the one driving the message.

AI Doesn’t Replace You…It Supports You

Kimberly shared how she uses AI every day in her business to save time and get better results:

  • ChatGPT for ideas, frameworks and quick drafts
  • Otter to capture and transcribe ideas on the go
  • Castmagic to turn audio into show notes, posts and emails
  • Missinglettr to schedule a year’s worth of podcast promotion in minutes
  • Hemingway App to check readability and simplify complex copy

With the right setup, what used to take hours now takes minutes. That means more time for strategy, creativity and client work.

Don’t Copy and Paste

Even when the AI gives you a good result, always edit and refine it. Your voice matters. And your audience can tell when something feels off.

Make sure everything you publish sounds like you and speaks directly to the people you want to serve.

Strategy Still Matters

Posting every day isn’t a plan. Using AI isn’t a plan either.

Your content needs to be part of a bigger picture:

  • Who are you speaking to?
  • What do you want them to do?
  • How does each piece move them closer to working with you?

Without a clear strategy, even the best tools won’t help.
